Terms and Conditions for Using The Greymont Pottery Studio
1. General Usage
1.1. The Greymont Pottery Studio is available for pottery classes, workshops, and private use. All bookings must be confirmed in advance.
1.2. Users must follow all studio guidelines and instructions provided by the staff to ensure a safe and productive environment.
1.3. The studio reserves the right to deny entry or terminate use if the user fails to comply with these terms or behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner.
2. Safety and Liability
2.1. Pottery involves the use of potentially hazardous tools and materials. Users must exercise caution and follow safety protocols at all times.
2.2. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult or participate in structured classes.
2.3. The studio is not responsible for any injuries or accidents occurring on the premises.
3. Fragility and Breakages
3.1. Pottery is inherently fragile, and breakages can occur during handling, firing, or transportation. The studio is not liable for any damage or loss of items created or handled by users.
3.2. While every effort is made to ensure a successful firing process, we cannot guarantee that items will survive the kiln process or come out as expected.
3.3. Users must understand and accept these risks before creating or firing pottery in the studio.
4. Kiln Use
4.1. Kiln firings are managed by trained staff. Unauthorized access to or use of the kilns is strictly prohibited.
4.2. Items for firing must meet studio specifications regarding size, thickness, and materials to avoid damage to the kiln or other users’ items.
4.3. The studio is not responsible for any defects or failures that occur during the firing process, including cracks, warping, or glaze imperfections.
5. Payment and Refunds
5.1. All payments for studio use, classes, and workshops must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed upon.
5.2. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a booking may be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less notice may forfeit the payment.
5.3. No refunds will be issued for items damaged or lost during the creative or firing process.

6. Clean-Up and Care
6.1. Users are responsible for cleaning their workspaces and tools after use. A cleaning fee may be charged if the space is left in an unsatisfactory condition.
6.2. Tools and equipment must be used responsibly and returned in good condition. Any damage caused by negligence may result in repair or replacement charges.

7. Intellectual Property
7.1. Users retain ownership of the designs and pieces they create. However, the studio reserves the right to photograph works for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested by the user.

8. Amendments
8.1. The Greymont Pottery Studio reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
